Systemservice to import EPG-datais a standalone system service. It works in the underground without user interface. When it works, it documents its doing in logfiles. The service tries cyclically to connect to the VdrProxy. If the connection was successful, it request EPG-data, timers and channellist one after the other. VdrProxy and the EPG-processor check the modification times from the files to avoid unnecessary transfers. If the connection wasn't successful (perhaps cause the VDR is not running), the service sleeps for a while and tries it again. The service is a system service, which means, it will be started by the service-manager triggered by the GUI using the preferences dialog. The epg-processor needs the name of the vdr, the port of the vdrproxy and the lifetime of epgevents (90000 is a good choice) as parameters. |
